Until last month, I had never seen a single episode of Game of Thrones. Not even a trailer. I knew that a lot of it was filmed here in the north and that Jon Snow knows nothing but, other than that, pretty clueless. My twin sister kept telling me to watch it though, so I capitulated. An episode or two just to test the waters but I'm not superhuman, and the inevitable happened: I couldn't stop watching.
I mean that literally, by the way, I actually couldn't stop; I was meant to post this last week when I went to the exhibition but I was still only halfway through season three. Don't worry friends, I'm all up to speed now but I desperately needed a few extra days to process all of my emotions. It's okay, don't worry about me, I'm recovering well and now I'm ready.

We were blown away by the level of detail put into everything but, sure, would you expect any less from Game of Thrones? The absolute icing on the cake was the memorial wall: framed pictures of the characters who left their world far too earlier - or at least the ones we miss the most because I mean, let's be fair, this world is finite; but there was a great video that accompanied the memorial, listing every single death so far. I'll be honest, we were all a bit emotional.
Should also add that the exhibition was made infinitely cooler when we were able to virtually 'ascend the wall'. For two minutes of my life, I was Pyp and that's all that really matters.
The best part (for me) though, was the wee woman queued up the at merchandise stand at the end of the exhibit. She was 60 at least and looking for something very specific: whatever it was, it had to have Jennifer on it. We still aren't sure who Jennifer is, and the woman working the stall wasn't either, but we do know that 'Jennifer' was a key character in the same episode that this woman played a 'local woman' in - "black top, black scarf, blue skirt", she told us. We'll have to keep an eye out for her!
