'Northern Lights' Candles

Just a quick post today while we bask in the amazing smell now hovering in our living room. This candle was bought on a whim at St. George's Market (yes, we love the place - it has the best of local!). Unfortunately we can't remember the name of the stall , but we know he/the stall is in the first row on a Sunday and is there every week! This candle is called 'Irish linen' and smells amazing, a nice crisp and clean scent which makes it smell like you've been hand-washing laundry or having bubble baths all day. It contains as much scented oils as Yankee Candles and we can confirm that this one is indeed potent! They're soy candles and burn evenly& cleanly, with an estimated burn time of 100 hours.

All of the 'Northern Lights' candles at this stall are made by people with learning difficulties through a programme which helps them work through the difficulties they face and provides a safe work environment for them - every purchase helps to keep the candle company in business and keep the programme running!

They tick all the boxes - local, clean burning, amazing smells and promoting a healthy work environment!
You can get yourself one at St. George's Market on Sundays and hopefully soon at their website!

  1. I think I might just have to hit the market tomorrow! My bank-account hates the thought of it! You guys seem to live off the place! hahaha! (:

Yous for this exhibition on Lisburn road? I think today is the last day - but it is promoting art work by young adults with mental issues, and is apparently really great?

They're super - and the money goes to a great cause! Plus any excuse to rediscover St. George's is a plus :)

I think our severly depleted bank accounts are suffering from the St. George's addiction - such a nice atmosphere and so many things to see though, I truly love the place. Reminds me to love Belfast.

Sad i'm only seeing this comment now as I didn't know about the exhibition! Was it good? It sounds class!
