Lush 'Ocean Salt'

An ever-loving mention has to go to Lush's 'Ocean Salt'. The product itself is pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, a salt scrub with a mixture of coarse and fine sea salt with a really nice ocean-like smell. This one is a long standing repurchase, because unlike many other scrubs I have tried this one really is heavy duty and is perfect for getting your skin to that clear, glowing stage.

This tends to be used by most for the body, but I must admit I have taken this to parts of my face once or twice during the winter to avoid the dreaded flaky nose syndrome. Personally, I credit the improvement in my skin to this product as it's the only thing that feels like it truly cleans deep into the skin. If you have a problem with ingrown hairs, especially if you have facial hair, this is the ideal product to train your skin away from that by sloughing off the skin above the affected area.

As the product is very grainy and coarse, I wouldn't recommend this for use on any areas that are irritated or where the skin has broken, it also wouldn't be suitable for those with very sensitive skin. You can read customer reviews here on the Lush site - both bad and good!
